I think most are right, I am not sure how to do the last question. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
1. What is the mass of 1.0 mole of C atoms? 12g
2. What is the mass of 3.0 mole of O atoms? 48g
3. What is the mass of 1.0 mole of H2O? 18g
4. What is the mass of 0.75 mole of carbon dioxide CO2?
33g
5. What is the mass of H atoms in 2 moles of water?
4g
6. 6.005 g is how many moles of carbon atoms? 6 mols
7. 2.6496 g is how many moles of LiH .33 mols
8. How many moles is 54.0 g of H2O? 3 moles
9. How many moles of CO2 is 8.8016g? 1.8mols
10. How many moles of O atoms are in 11.002g of CO2?
352
Please check my answers. Very confusing. Grams to moles, Moles to grams.?
6. is wrong. 6.005 g / 12.011 g/mol = 0.50 mol
10. is wrong. 11.002 g of CO2 / 44.011g/mol = 0.25 mol CO2 and 0.25 mol CO2 contains 0.50 mol of O aroms
Reply:looks good
Reply:6. Carbon is 12 amu, so 6.005/12 = ~0.5mols
moles = mass/AMU
7. Li 6.941 amu H ~1amu
LiH ~8amu, 2.6496/8 = 0.3312
10. 11.002/48 = 0.2292 moles of CO2, since you have twice the number of atoms of O per CO2 molecules, multiple this by two: 0.4584 moles
the rest of them are correct
Reply:m=M*n
1,2,3,4,5 correct
6) false n=m/M=6/12=0.5mol
7) n=m/M=2,6496/8
8)n=54/18
9)n=8.8/44
10)0.25mols CO2===%26gt;0.5mols O
