7 moles have recently appeared on my face. They are all small and flat (darker than freckles) 1mm by 1mm etc.?

My face is pale at the moment. I am in my mid teens. If I go out in the sun to get a tan on my face (wearing sunscreen of course!) will I get more facial moles from the sun or will my moles get bigger and stickout?

I am worried about going in the sun now. I don't want anymore moles!

You should see a dermatologist if it worries you.
Reply:might be skin cancer
Reply:See a dermatologist. This is a question you should be asking to a doctor, who is a specialist in these matters.
Reply:Its not skin cancer! lol..Dont worry about cancer...I dunno what they are though...Just wear a heavy sunscreen
Reply:get that checked out by a doctor now, ever heard of skin canser?
Reply:I don't think they'll get any bigger, but the number of them might increase. Remember tanning isn't good for you, especially if you have pale skin. Wear a sunscreen!
Reply:My own personal experience is that some people are more prone to get moles than others, I am. I've found over the years that even a breakout can turn into a mole. They usually get larger over the years having nothing to do with the sun. If you get alot of moles it's good to have them removed and checked to make sure they are not cancerous. They probably wont be but that way your insurance will cover the cost of it. Gold Luck.
Reply:They are more than likely whats called seborrheic keratosis. Its just a normal thing that happens as we age. I have 3 grouped together by my left eye and to be quite honest I love them. I believe they developed in my teens as well. They are harmless unless theres pain or irritation and can be easily removed by a dermatologist if that is the case. These are genetic moles, so odds are the sun isnt your problem. You can always get them removed if you feel that they are unsightly.
