I have 13 moles on my body and one itches sometimes is it cancer its also 2 shade of brown and one on my leg?

i have 13 or so moles on my body. i have a mole on my back that itches sometimes. i am not sure if it itches or because my bra strap rubs against it. i am really worried and have been crying because i think its the skin cancer melanoma. i am seeing a dermatologist on friday so i will see what they say. i am scared to hear that i hhave cancer. i have had this mole for awhile and i also have one on my leg. it doesn't itch its just not the typical round or oval mole its uneven but looks the same on the other side if i were to fold it. i am folowing the abcd rules about skin cancer and i dont have anything with pus or scabby but i am worried. does anyone else have moles with irregular shape and 2 diffrent colors of brown. its slightly darker in the middle than the outer part of the mole . i really want this to be just nothing.i have five moles on my butt and they are flesh colored , two are slightly irregular. not a perfect oval or circle.will someone let me know if they're familiar with

I have 13 moles on my body and one itches sometimes is it cancer its also 2 shade of brown and one on my leg?
You are doing the smartest best thing possible in seeing the dermatologist!!!!! DO NOT miss the appointment....especially for piece of mind. I am in stage 4 metastatic melanoma and wish I would have followed the signs earlier. Good Luck!
Reply:Just because it itches and is two toned doesn't mean it's cancer. But you should have it checked out. If it is cancer then its better to find out and treat it now. It isn't worth risking your life over the fear of finding out. The sooner you find out, the more they might be able to prevent it.

Number of moles and number of grams?!?!?

determine the number of moles in:

35 g of CuSO4*5H2O

determine the number of grams in each:

2.5 moles of NaCl

0.50 moles of H2SO4

1.70 moles of KMnO4

0.25 MOLES OF KCl

3.2 moles of CuSO4*5H2O

please help me i have no idea how to do this.

Thanks in advance!

Number of moles and number of grams?!?!?
For the first one, you add up all the molar masses for each indivdual element. and then take 35g times mol/g(molar mass) of CuSO4*5H2O. Make sure you have the right number of each element when finding molar mass. ex: there would be 10 hydrogens, 1 copper etc.

the others, you also need to find the molar mass, and then you place ___ moles of ____ times the molar ratio or g/mol.

Hope it helps!
Reply:The equation for solving is

moles=number of grams over atomic weight, or m=g/mw

Do you know how to solve molecular weight? You may just want to e-mail me

Calculate moles/grams/atoms?

How would I do these? (as in what is the formulas to use...)

Calculate the number of moles when given grams

ie: 32.4g Na

Calculate the number of grams when given moles

ie: 2.34g moles Mg

Calculate the number of atoms when given moles

ie: 3.42 moles Mg

Calculate moles/grams/atoms?
**The atomic masses of Na = 23 , Mg = 24

To calculate for moles, divide the given grams by the element's atomic mass.

So, 32. 4 g Na / 23 = 1.4 moles

Given the number of moles, multiply by its atomic mass to find the given grams.

So, 2.34 moles * 24 = 56.16 g

Given the number of moles, multiply by Avogadro's number (6.02 * 10^23)

So, 3.42 moles * Avogadro's number = 2.06 * 10^24

Lame joke about moles?

There was once a father mole, a mother mole, and a baby mole. They lived in a hole out in the country.

One day, father mole poked his head out of the hole and said "mmmmm, I smell sausages."

Mother mole poked her head outside of the hole and said 'mmmmmm, I smell pancakes."

Baby mole tried to poke his head outside the hole but couldnt because of the two bigger moles. "Awww, the only thing I can smell is molasses."

Are moles ugly?

I have a lot of moles, accumulating more than 20! Thankfully, they aren't hairy and they don't pop-out. All the moles that I have are flat and small like full-stops or dots.

Do i sound scary? My friends think that I'm thinking too much about my moles. They did commented that I have a lot of moles but they told me that usually they don't notice the moles until I pointed out to them.

Are moles ugly?
Well, it depends.

For example I have MANY moles, especially on my arms.

Some months ago we had a really boring lesson in class, so for fun, my best friend counted the moles on my arms.

3O MOLES! But they are in varies places i my arms (they look exactly like what you described) and I truely LOVE my moles and see it really femanin for a girl to have qute moles like yours.

So, I see them lovely, don't worry! : D

but your friends are right moles aren't really that noticeable unless they are huge.

so don't worry about it too much.

For a girl, one above the lip to either side, just looks good. I don't know why.
Reply:people's actions can be ugly. the way god designed is never ugly. have the moles checked by a dermatologist. learn to accept yourself.
Reply:no DONT TRIP OFF YOUR MOLES AND tell other people to get a life if they say anything, i have moles and my mom does and we are both comfortable with it and i used to get teased but i stopped thinkin about it and they did too. its something you have to be able to deal with first if you have to go stand in a mirror for an hour looking at your moles and just go on with your life, it shouldnt be a molelife crisis lol.
Reply:You can have them removed if they bother you
Reply:if u have alot of them then hell yeah
Reply:Two moles on your face isn't even that bad. Some people look hot with moles. Enrique Iglesias, Cindy Crawford, Eva Mendes...it just depends on how you present yourself as a whole. Don't mention your moles to people or point it out.
Reply:Beauty marks are small and moles are large. usually fairer skinned people tend to have more moles than say darker complected ones. I've got about 37 moles/ beauty mark so don't fret they add character to ones body.
Reply:oh, please. you're thinking way too hard on that. for one, they're not moles, they're beauty marks. lol so the more you have of them the prettier you are. and btw, I wouldn't be talking. I have just about a zillion, more than two on my face. and also by the way, if they're small and flat then you really are paranoid! sorry to be so harsh. and moles aren't ugly at all. I know a bunch of people who have far more than 20 and they're all beautiful!

take wt of compound divide by molar wt gives number of moles

molar wt of a compound (mw) is found by adding the mw of each and every element the compound contains

ill do one

60.7 g CL2

1 atom of cl has a mw is 35.4 g/mole

so cl2 is 2 times that or 70.9g/m

so 60.7 cl2 / 70.9 = .856 moles

How many moles of hydrogen atoms are there in 0.5 mol of CH3CH2OH?

Have to show calculations!

A.0.5 moles

B.1.0 moles

C.2.0 moles

D. 2.5 moles

E. 3.0 moles

F. 6.0 Moles

I have to figure out of these equations if I know how to do one I can figure b-f out!

How many moles of hydrogen atoms are there in 0.5 mol of CH3CH2OH?
E - because you start with half a mole. Notice that there are six hydrogen ATOMS in the original molecule so it would be half of 6.
Reply:E. 3.0 moles

If you have 1.0 mol of CH3CH2OH, count the number of H and there would be 6.0 mol, but since you have 0.5 mol, then you have half of 6.0 mol.
Reply:The answer is E. 3. If there are 1/2 moles of ethanol, with 6 hydrogens, then there are 3 moles of H atoms. (1/2 X 6=3)
Reply:-For every one CH3CH2OH molecule there is

-6 H atoms

-thus the ratio of CH3CH2OH to H

-is 1 to 6

-thus 0.5 moles (6) = 3 moles of H

helps if you think of moles as a constant number eg. 10

it is a constant amount.

eg. If you have one moles of (cars) how many moles of (wheels) would there be?

ratio of (cars) to (wheels) is 1 to 4

therefore 4 moles of wheels
Reply:# of moles of H atoms in 1 mol of CH3CH2OH= 6 mol

# of moles of H atoms in 0.5 mol of CH3CH2OH=6*0.5

=3 mol

Therefore the answer is E

Moles in an element in a compound?

Ok so thanks to MN Science Teacher I know that to find the amount of moles of copper in copper oxide (CuO):

1. You first find the atomic weights of copper and of oxygen, and add them together. The units for this will be grams per mole.

2. Then take 1.43 grams and divide it by the number you got in step 1. This, then, will be your final answer, and the units in your answer here will be moles. That's all there is to it!

But how do I find the amount of moles of oxygen in the Copper Oxide (CuO). Surely it cant be exactly the same way because then I'll have the same amount of moles of both copper and oxygen in the compound :/

Help?!

Thanks :)

Moles in an element in a compound?
Since you have the same number of copper atoms as oxygen atoms in CuO, the number of moles of each also has to be equal.
Reply:it's the same. a mole is a quantity, and in every molecule of CuO, you have one Cu and one O. So therefore with 2 CuO molecules, you have 2 Cu's and 2 O's total.

so if you have 2 moles of CuO, you have 2 moles of Cu and 2 moles of O. however many moles of CuO you have is how many moles of the individual elements.

How do you get Moles ratio?

Ok Ok...

Question:

Find the number of moles [AFTER Reaction] of KBrO3

Given:

initial moles of KBrO3 [before titration reaction] = 0.0004

BrO3(-) + 9I(-) + 6H30(+) ----%26gt; Br(-) + 3I3(-) +9H20

I3(-) + 2S2O3(2-) ---%26gt; 3I(-) + S4O6(2-)

-------------

NOTE::: The above equations ARE ALREADY BALANCED

-------------

My teacher said that,

"To find the number of moles of bromate reacted, subtract the number of moles of bromate remaining from the initial number of moles of bromate. Find the number of moles of bromate remaining from the moles of thiosulfate used in the titration and the relationship between the moles of bromate and the moles of thiosulfate as shown by the two equations "

--------------------------------------...

So i have no idea how to do that but can some please show me how?

Thank you for your consideration.

How do you get Moles ratio?
This is extremely simple. You do not give any numbers but this is how you will do it. (You will probably be given data on the quantitative results of the second reaction and find out how much reacted). But from your question you need to do this:

Let say you have 6 moles of S2O3(=). From the equation you should note that 1 mole I3(-) require 2 moles of S2O3(=). So if you have 6 moles of S2O3(=) you will have 3 moles of I3(-). From the first reaction 3 moles of I3(-) will require 1 mol of BrO3(-).

So 1 mol BrO3(-) will "require" 6 moles S2O3(=).

The number you are not giving is how many moles of S2O3(=) you were given in the question or need to calculate from data given about the titration.

Assume that it is x moles of S2O3(=).

Then the number of moles of BrO3(-) that reacted will be x/6.

So the answer will be 0.0004 - 6/x

Help me in chemistry MOLES ?

In the formation reaction :

2C+3H2----%26gt;C2H6

Calculate the number of moles of C2H6 formed when

a) 2.0 moles of C are reacted with 5.0 moles of H2

b) 6.0 moles of H2 are reacted with 4.0 moles C

c) 9.0 moles of H2 are reacted with 5.0 moles of C

d) 0.0812 moles of C reacted with 0.125 moles of H2

Help me in chemistry MOLES ?
look for the limiting component in each case:

1) only 1 mol of C2H6 is form (2 moles of C can only make 1 moles of C2H6)

2) 2 mol (6 mols H2 = 3 mol C2H6)

3) 2.5 mol

4) 1.9488 mol
Reply:Think of moles as the number in front of reagents and products. in a) C is the limiting reagent. Therefore only

one mole of product as per equationb) same ratio of moles

of reagents therefore proportional moles of product.

c) finally a challenge. Which is limiting: 3:2 or 9:5: Not enough\

carbon. Use up all the carbon.and 5*3/2=7.5 of hydrogen

for 2.5 moles of ethane. Last one is yours
Reply:These are limiting reagents problems. Basically one component is going to be used up before the other, and you have to find out which. To do this, you need to use your balanced equation, this one says that for every 2 moles of C you will need 3 moles of H2 to give you 1 mole of C2H6.

a) 2.0 moles of C reacting with 5.0 moles of H2.

Find the limiting reagent first

2.0 mol C x 3 mol H2 / 2mol C = 3 mol H2

This says that for 2 moles of C you need 2 moles of H2, since you have 5.0 moles you got plently, and the 2.0 mole C is you LR.

2.0 mol C x 1 mol C2H6/ 2 mol C = 1.0 mol C2H6

b) 6.0 moles H2 react w/ 4.0 mol C

Find the LR

6.0 mol H2 x 2 mol C / 3 mol H2 = 4 mol C

6 mol H2 needs EXACTLY 4 mol C, which you have

6.0 mol H2 x 1 mol C2H6 / 3 mol H2 = 2.0 mol C2H6

c) 9.0 mol H2 w/ 5.0 mol C

Find the LR

9.0 mol H2 x 2 mol C / 3 mol H2 = 6 mol C

9.0 moles H2 needs 6 mols of C. You have only 5 mol C so 5 mol C is the LR

5.0 mol C x 1 mol C2H6 / 2 mol C = 2.5 mol C2H6

d) 0.0812 mol C react w/ .125 mol H2

Find the LR first

.0812 mol C x 3 mol H2 / 2 mol C = .1218 mol H2

.1218 mol H2 %26lt; .126 mol H2, so the .0812 mol C is the LR

.0812 mol C x 1 mol C2H6 / 2 mol C = 0.0406 mol C2H6

The mama mole reached her head outside of the hole and said "Mmmmm, I smell maple syrup."

The babymole tried to reach his head outside the hole but couldn't because of the two bigger moles.

The baby mole said, "The only thing I can smell is molasses.

Thanks for taking the time to help me!

Number of moles?
If you divided the number of grams of substance by its molar mass, you got it right. I just don't want to look up if they're actually right.

Do moles re-use their underground tunnels? And other mole related questions.?

Do moles live in their tunnels or do they have a sort of underground den or nest that they return to after a hard night of digging?

Do moles dig alone or do they travel around in herds?

Why do moles tunnel around, popping up into the middle of your lawn every now and then?

How many baby moles does a mother mole give birth to, and how long is a mole's gestation period?

Do moles re-use their underground tunnels? And other mole related questions.?
Moles have a living area in their tunnels, including a storage area for extra food(worms with their heads bitten off), and a latrine area.

Moles are VERY terratorial, and a single yard will usually only have one, but 2 tunnel systems may overlap on a property, sometimes. If a mole is killed, and the population in the area is high, another mole will move into the tunnels.

Moles tunnel around looking for food, such as grubs, or periodical cicada. To get rid of the moles, treat for grubs. It it's a 17 year locust emergence, get used to the moles...at least for a few years.

They produce 3-5 young in the spring.

I've got Moles i really want to get removed but there are complications?

Ok so I’ve got Tons of Moles all over my body, mainly on my back and some on my chest and stomach. I am not sure how many exactly but i am going to guess at least 20 are on my back. Most are the size of Pencil erasers and i got 2 on my back close to the size of a penny and another on my lower back and chest that are almost as big. I’ve always been embarrassed about them when ever i would go swimming like at the beach or at a pool. I would always swim with my shirt on and people would always ask why. I of course want to get them removed and recently my mom took me to a dermatologist’s office to see about them. And the Dermatologist would only remove 2 that she thought "Might" be Cancerous, those would be covered by my Insurance which i think is Empire Blue Cross. Also if it matters i live in New York. My older sister has a mole right above her ear and when she brushes her hair it always hurts and she can't get a doctor to say "It’s dangerous". In Both her and my case we want to get Moles removed ( I want to get A lot removed at least 20) but if we want to simply get moles removed we were told EACH mole would cost roughly $200 and we don’t have that kind of money. Also my mom told be back about 13 or 14 years ago when I was little and my family was living in Virginia she went and had 10 moles removed I think she said from her face and she said it MUST have been covered by insurance. I’ve never had moles removed before but I know the process and from what I know the stuff they use doesn’t at the most more then a few dollars maybe less and they are massively over pricing the service. I’d prefer an expert to do this because I’ve read here that people got their moles removed from non-experts and they left bad scars while those who mention a dermatologist or plastic surgeon removed theirs they left little to no scar at all. Is there an effective non crazy expensive way to get moles removed without having to go through a whole lot of Stupid Financial stuff?

Thank you I appreciate all the help you can give me

I've got Moles i really want to get removed but there are complications?
What you want of course, is to have insurance pay to remove as many moles as possible. You have to talk to a doctor. You have to tell the doctor that these moles are causing you psychological distress. That is also a valid reason for wanting them removed, aside from the standard "possible cancer" reason. Tell your doctor you want these moles removed and that you are having emotional %26amp; self-esteem issues due to the moles. He may be able to write a prescription for removal of the moles citing "psychological reasons" for removal. It's definitely worth trying.
Reply:You are going to want to go to a licensed professional. Thats the first and most important thing. Secondly, your insurance will not cover moles that are not considered dangerous because they consider this plastic surgery. Now, I know that you wan to have them done and it will make you feel better about yourself... but also think about the people getting lypo, breast implants and so on... if insurance was to cover all of this, then our rates as a whole would be much higher. I have a blemish on my face (so be lucky that its your back) and Ive just learned to live with it... it did not stop me from getting a good job, going to school, having great friends and a gorgeous husband. Be happy with who you are and others will see the beauty you truly are.

Chemistry moles question. How many moles in a substance or compound?

Am I correct in saying that since a mole of Na for example is 23 grams, so 4 moles of Na would just be 4 x 23 = 92 grams. and 0.4 moles of Na would be 9.2 grams. If I had

If I had 2 moles of C2H3O2 (acetate) it would be the formula weight x 2?

carbon 2 x 12 = 24 hydrogen 3 x 1= 3 and 0xygen is 2 x 16 =32 24+3+32= 59

2 x 59 = 118 grams would be 2 moles of acetate

0.50 (1/2) moles is 59 grams

am I correct????

thanks

Chemistry moles question. How many moles in a substance or compound?
yes, finding the mass of x moles in a compound = x(mass). If you want to find out the number of atoms in the compound, it is x(6.022*10^23) where x= the number of moles.
Reply:yes, you are correct
Reply:yes you are correct. the atomic weight is the weighted average of all its isotopes, but it is also the mass of one mole of that atom.

If four moles of NH3 react to form two moles of N2 and six moles of H2 , calculate Kp at the same temperature.

In the gas phase one mole of N2 and three moles of H2 react to form two moles of NH3 At T = 298 Kelvin , Kp = 560000 atm-2

If four moles of NH3 react to form two moles of N2 and six moles of H2 , calculate Kp at the same temperture.

If four moles of NH3 react to form two moles of N2 and six moles of H2 , calculate Kp at the same temperature.
Lancenigo di Villorba (TV), Italy

The reaction described is usually written as follows :

N2(g) + 3 H2(g) %26lt;---%26gt; 2 NH3(g)

You gave me several information about it.

At 25°C, the synthetic mixture overcame to chemical equilibrium when the Partial Pressures of reaction's actors obey to :

5.6E+5 (atm)^2 = Kp' = (pNH3)^2 / ((pN2) * (pH2)^3)

If you refer to another writing, as the following :

2 N2(g) + 6 H2(g) %26lt;---%26gt; 4 NH3(g)

then you modify the "equilibrium equation"

(5.6+5)^2 (atm)^4 = (Kp')^2 = (NH3)^4 / ((pN2)^2 * (pH2)^6)

Hence, you must calculate Kp'' = (Kp')^2 = (5.6+5)^2 =

= 3.14E+11 (atm)^4

I hope this helps you.

STOICHOIMETRIC CHEM - Moles - EASY BEST ANSWER?

Okay I have to figure out problems like these so please solve and I'll give you best answer - that way i can work on my others.

Oxygen reacts with SO2 to produce SO3,

2SO2 + O2 2 SO3

6 moles of O2 react with 10 moles of SO2

How many moles of O2 are required to react with 10 moles of SO2? How many moles of SO2 are required to react with 6 moles of O2? How many moles of the excess reagent are left? How many moles of SO3 are produced?

STOICHOIMETRIC CHEM - Moles - EASY BEST ANSWER?
SO2 + O2 -%26gt; SO3

on balancing

2SO2 + O2 -%26gt; 2SO3

so 2 moles of SO2 reacts with 1 mole of O2

for 10 moles of SO2 10/2=5 moles of O2 are required and 10 moles of SO3 are produced

for 6 moles of O2 6*2=12 moles of SO2 are required and 12 moles of SO3 are produced

in first rxn only 5 moles of O2 are required so ,,excess 1 mole of O2 is left

in second rxn only 10 moles of SO2 are available , so only 5 moles of O2 react hence 1 mole of O2 is left

If four moles of NH3 react to form two moles ofN2and six moles of H2, calculate Kp at the same temp?

In the gas phase one mole of N2 and three moles of H2 react to form two moles of NH3 At T = 298 Kelvin , Kp = 560000 atm-2

If four moles of NH3 react to form two moles of N2 and six moles of H2 , calculate Kp at the same temperture.

If four moles of NH3 react to form two moles ofN2and six moles of H2, calculate Kp at the same temp?
This is just the same reaction bacwards, but disguised a bit.

Simply take the inverse of the quoted Kp value.

Getting moles removed?

Ok so I have had a mole cut out before and the stitches fell out and it made a bad scar, however its on my hip where no one can see it so I don't care. I had a second mole frozen off on my scalp which I couldn't see.

I went to a different doctor the other day and asked if I could get some moles removed and he didn't say much, and I said can I get them burned off or anything and he told me I can only get moles cut out. Now I have both flat moles and some moles that stick out, colour is brown or 10 are pinky brown. I have alot of moles really. But I thought it was possible to get these burned off, frozen off or there were other methods, not just one option of getting them cut out, I know they want to test them though.

I don't care having a little mark left, but I just want the best option, and have at least 2 moles removed. So what you think?

Getting moles removed?
you can have them frozen off, but doctors are reluctant to do it because, whilst you can no longer see the mole, the roots are still in your skin and if they developed into a melanoma, it is less likely to be picked up and treated in time. the doctors want to cut them out to cover their own behinds.
Reply:I would say that your doctors know more about your particular moles than any of us on this website. However if you are inquiring about the methods that we have experienced I will try to answer the question.

I have never had a mole cut out...but I have had warts or moles, (not sure what their medical term was for them) burned off in the doctors office. It did not hurt, just a slight stinging sensation once it started to freeze. It took about a week for the area to dry, then heal...really quite simple.l
Reply:Your doctor is entirely wrong and obviously not up to date...!

Moles can be removed by laser and this procedure is done daily in laser clinics, I assure you. If your family doctor advises it, your insurance company will probably pay for it. It is a cosmetic surgery and most insurance companies will not pay unless a doctor relates a potential danger related to the mole...

You will be told of a possibility for a mold to return but I have yet to find one doing so. I personally have had three removed from my face and one was on my eyebrow and very large. Several years have passed with no re-growth...

The cost varies from one clinic to another but you can expect to pay as much as a hundred dollars for each mold laser removed, I am sure. The remaining scar tissue is so fine that it is not noticed at all by onlookers...

Good luck...
Reply:I am a rather mole-y person and have had many removed. Normally, the method doctors prefer/recommend is excision (cutting them out) because they should always be sent for testing to make sure they are not cancerous. I had one excised several years ago that looked normal; however, when it came back from testing it was melanoma. I wound up having to undergo major surgery to make sure all of the cancerous tissue had been removed.

I suspect the reason the spot on your head was burned off is because there's not a lot of tissue for the doctor to "scoop" out. Plus, heads are very vascular, meaning it bleeds very easily. If the mole looked normal and wasn't causing any problems, that is probably why is was just frozen off.

Of course, I'm not a doctor, but if it were me, I would rather have the moles cut off/out. Even if they are cut out, you will probably only be left with a little scar/mark once the tissue has healed. Better safe than sorry b/c melanoma is a very serious and deadly form of cancer.

Moles and number of ions?

400. mL of a solution containing 4.80 g/L aluminum sulfate

How do i find the moles. Is this correct.

4.80g Al2(SO4)3 x (1 mole / 342.157g Al2 (SO4)3) = .01403 moles Al2(SO4)3

.0140 moles Al2(SO4)3 x ( 2mole Al / 1 mole Al2(SO4)3) = .02806 mole of Al2

I feel like I am missing something because I do no use the volume of 400 mL. Please help. I need to find the moles of each ion, Al3+ and SO4 2-. If you just do Al, I think I can do the rest.

Moles and number of ions?
.400 L of solution x 4.80 grams/L = 1.92 grams of Aluminum sulfate.

1.92 grams x 1 mole/342.157 g = 0.005611 moles Al2(SO4)3
Reply:ill just agree with you! :)
Reply:You're missing a step.

1. Your first step is OK

2. You only have 0.4L, step 1 assumes one liter. Mulitply by 0.400 to find the moles of aluminum sulfate available.

3. Using the moles available from #2, redo your las equation.

Moles???...?

How can i remove/make smaller/ lighten them at home..without buying creams off the internet.. tried garllic and lemon juice.. ????

Moles???...?
The only way to get rid of moles is to see a doctor and get them cut out. However, unless there is a concern for them being cancerous (change in color, size or shape) you'll have ot pay out of pocket for it. And it's not cheap believe me. I've had 4 removed or being larger and each one would have cost me $2000 if I would have to pay out of pocket. Also, doctors can perscribe perscription strength lightening creams to put on them. Mine gave me some it's 10x stronger than those you buy in drugstores or online and it really seemed to help but it takes a good couple months to see any noticable difference.
Reply:go to teh doctors and they can like freeze them off

Moles.................?

i have had a couple on the back of my neck for a long time. but recently i have had a little one grow on the side of my neck and one on my back. they are light brown. what could cause this?

Moles.................?
Moles come and go. New ones that grow larger than a pencil eraser, are black in color, have irregular borders, bleed or become scaly may be problematic and should be checked out. It's good that you're keeping track of them. You might want to have a baseline exam by a dermatologist, so any changes can be monitored.
Reply:causation is not the really important issue.

the fact that you have perceived skin changes is very important and a warning to see a doctor, probably a board certified dermatologist, experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.

everybody should get a complete (and i mean COMPLETE) skin check once a year. it is particularly important for people who have experienced sunburn, especially at a young age.

most skin cancers are easy to treat if caught early.
Reply:you may need to see a doctor for growing moles..if they are very dark and in odd shapes..you may have to have them removed.

Moles?????

how many molecules are in 1 mole of any compound?

Moles?????
This is Avogadro's number is formally defined to be the number of "entities" in one mole, that is the number of carbon-12 atoms in 12 grams (0.012 kg) of unbound carbon-12 in its rest-energy electronic state. The current best estimate of this number is

6.0221415 × 10^23 per mole.
Reply:6.02x10^23, Avogadro's Number (Na)
Reply:A mole of any substance is 6.02×10^23 molecules of that substance.

NOTE: ^ denotes that 23 is an exponent.
Reply:Avagadro's number.... 6.02 X 10 ^23.

It's representative of a mole. It's like saying there are 12 eggs in a "dozen".

It's like saying 6.02 X 10^23 molecules are in 1 M (mole).

street fighting

Moles?????

is there any way you can get rid of moles on your body without having it surgically removed?

Moles?????
No.
Reply:No. Unless its always been there, you should get it checked out by the Doctor as can be a sign of skin cancer.
Reply:not really just cover it with foundation if it bothers you that much but theres nothing wrong with having moles anyway. if it hurts or is a funny colour you need it looking at by your doctor thou
Reply:I wouldn't advise you to try that.It needs to be done by a professional as it can be dangerous tampering with them.Moles can turn cancerous.
Reply:No. They have to be surgically removed or burned off! Getting them burned off is less painful and it works!!!! I once had 2 on my stomach and they were on the surface and I had them do the lazer on them and it was simple.
Reply:Furry little critters, hit them with a shovel.
Reply:No. Some people have more than others. I know because I am one of those people. Do watch for any changes in size and coloration. You may get some that turn into "skin tags" that may irritate you and those I would get burned off. It is an easy Dr.'s office procedure.
Reply:Yes, depending on size and exact position it may well be possible to remove them by either liquid nitrogen cautery, which you GP might do, or by laser by a dermatologist, though this might need to be done privately.
Reply:ok well Im really not advising you to do this but I had a mole on the side of my back and I just started picking it every other day for like four days and it disapeared I was so surprised

Moles?????

Moles on the back of my neck and home remidies or unpainful ways to get rid of them?

besides goin to the doctors?

Moles?????
Doctors is a good idea since they can be related to cancer formation
Reply:they most of the time just freeze them then it dont hurt so bad if at all. I dont mean with ice cubes they freeze burn them off at the dr.
Reply:they may come off like warts with that new stuff on t.v. i think is called freeze off.
Reply:I have never heard of taking moles off at home. Don't think that would be a safe thing to do.

Moles?!?!?!?!?

I have moles and i hate them! How can I get rid of them?! I really dont wanna get surgery! Can someone plz hep?!

Moles?!?!?!?!?
The only way to permanently get rid of unwanted moles (nevices) is through a minor surgery procedure done by a dermatologist.

Creams and such WILL NOT work.

The procedure is relatively painless - you get a needle with a numbing agent then the mole is scraped off. Depending upon the depth of the cut, you may require a stitch or 2.
Reply:Get a really dark tan and they will look like they blend in
Reply:You better not touch em
Reply:they have a new oinment that freezes them i dont know what its called but im sure itll help

Moles....?

What are ppl's opinion of moles or beauty spots?

Do ppl like them or not? I have tons and hate them!! esp on my face. I've heard you can get them removed??

Moles....?
I've got a few but I don't tend to think about them, they are just part of me and I like them :) I've got a couple of little ones on my face, and a few others about the place.

Moles would never put me off a person, they are just something that is there - doesn't bother me at all :) Some people have cute ones too.

You can have them removed, if you feel your moles are upsetting you, you should talk to your doctor. It is unlikely that you would be able to have your moles removed on the NHS, so would have to go private. Your doctor would be able to advise you on how to proceed with private surgery.

Moles are usually surgically removed using one of the following methods:

~Excision (cutting out the mole), sometimes with stitches, or ~Excision with cauterisation (a tool is used to 'burn' away the mole). Whether you have stitches or not depends on how big and d
Reply:Like them, make people individual.
Reply:If they are small moles they dont look bad but is a big one you can get it laser removed.
Reply:I don't have any but it certainly doesn't bother me to see them on other people!

Never did Cindy Crawford any harm... and I'm sure you look fine.
Reply:i have them too and many freckles...makes me special
Reply:you can get moles removed, but some are cancerous, so its kind of dangerous. Dont worry, moles can be very beautiful....dont try to change who you are....:) its what makes you unique
Reply:Moles can be annoying, yes, especially on your space. You know moles are actually harmless cancer? This means you must NOT pick them or squeeze them as then they can develop into harmful cancer. There's not a lot you can do about them really and no one really notices them, so don't worry. Yes, it is possible to get them removed but it's really expensive and leaves permenant scarring which can look even worse.
Reply:Yes you can have them removed .My friend had one on her top lip and she had it remove.Because she kept on catching it.
Reply:Moles, like people are individual. It would be a sad world if we all looked the same. Keep them. Call them beauty spots.
Reply:Hi, do you know what i dont care about moles, but i have heard if they change colour or grow then they could be cancerous and you may need them to be removed. I dont care about moles.
Reply:i dont have moles but i have tons of beauty marks on my face....i dont really care for them i have gotten used to them so i dont really notice them anymore.............
Reply:i have one on my face

and i've thought about

removing it but then i decided not to

its who you are and it prolly bugs

but who cares ..? people even try

making some fake ones like under

their eye and stuff !
Reply:I know what u mean, when i was young i realised what they were and all day i covered them up, but they make each one of us unique, i have had new ones comes up from the soon which is really annoying, but i think they r freckles as they are on my shoulder, i have freckles on my face but the ycan be removed, but why go through the trouble, i would love to get rid of myn but after that i would be complainning about something else about me, its best not to and deal with them.
Reply:I had one took off 4 weeks ago on my face. It took 10 minutes for the whole procedure. Local anaesthetic and little flesh coloured dressing for two days and now you can't tell there was anything there in the first place! Wish I had done it years ago!

I had it done on the n.h.s
Reply:Ooh don't remove them!!! I have one above my lip, which I detested til I was 21, when I fell in love with a man who simply adored it, and made me adore it. They're as part of you as anything. I don't see mine anymore, thery're as much a part of me as say my eyes, or my nose ... To me, its far more beautiful to have a few beauty spots than it is to have a few pitted scars where they've been removed...

AND THEY'RE NOT CALLED BEAUTY SPOTS FOR ANYTHING!!!
Reply:I don't have any on my face (thank god) but I do have about twenty per limb of varying sizes and more all over my back. I don't like them at all but I don't think it's worth paying to have them removed. Although if I was rich, I'd probably get rid of some. Whether you have any removed or not is up to you but if you haven't really got the money, I would suggest you learn to live with them - I did. :)
Reply:Unless the moles are really bothering you, or the color or shape is odd, don't have them removed. The one thing about moles is sometimes they can be cancerous. You can usually tell by the color changing or the shape changing or having an irregular border. Those types of moles you'd want to get checked out by a doctor.
Reply:no they are scabby, get rid!
Reply:i am not a fan of them either i had one on my face that really bothered me when i was a teenager and had it surgically removed now i have a little indention/scar in its place

i don't care for it either but, its better.

on the other hand my children have quite a few that i feel a little concerned about but, mostly i think there adorable.
Reply:Snap!

Yes i too have quite a few on my face and all over my body. (Annoyingly my brother and sister have none so i seemed to have gotten everyones share!!)

If they change shape or colour you MUST get them checked out as this can be a sign of skin cancer. Although not always as some of mine have changed and my doctor said theyre fine but better to be safe than sorry!

I absolutely detest mine so i went to see the doctor about having some of the more prominent ones removed and this is what she said....

If they are slightly raised or fleshly then your in luck as you can have the nurse freeze them off with liquid nitrogen by the nhs (i had mine done the same day as it only takes a couple of minutes.) I had this done to about 4 on my back and now they are completely gone with a very slight fade mark where they once were which will fade more with time. You will need to go back a couple of times till they are completely gone.

If they are normal flat moles then it might be a bit trickier unless you can convince your doc that they are problematic (like situation on lip or something) or if they have turned funny colour or something then she said they don't tend to remove them for cosmetic reasons as you will just end up with a scar/hole and especially if you have lots then you could end up looking worse. Trust me i tried and tried to convince my doctor!

Obviously all doctors are different and yours might say go ahead but if you really really hate them then if you were to go private theyll get rid of them - they want your money after all!

I'm being a bit of a hypocrite here cos i hate mine too but just try to learn to accept and maybe even like them as i think they probably don't lok half as bad to other people as we think they do. Im sure you look gorgeous with them and remember beauty comes from confidence so try to love them! Never did madonna or cindy any harm did they!
Reply:Don't like or dislike. I don't think you should get them removed if they are not in any way harmful to you. Learn to love them, I'm sure other folk don't notice them as much as you do yourself.
Reply:If you don't like your moles, DON'T WATCH AUSTIN POWER'S GOLDMEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Don't get your moles removed, it costs alot for PAIN!!

KK????

Trust me on this, my friend in college had moles and she got them removed, she said it REALLY hurt.

My daughter has a mole on her cheek and told her about my friend when she was complaining about it, she tries to cover it up with make up now and doesn't complain about it all!!!
Reply:I had 3 on my back removed, they were quite big, it took 4-5 years before scarring faded, so I suggest you think very carefully about ones on your face! Best to seek medical advice, you'll be told to leave alone unless they change size or consistency. Oh and be sure to wear lots of sunblock!
Reply:i have 1 by my lip .look at cindy crawford she done fine, they can be a nice feature. if you dont like them you can always get them lasered off . just be careful when in the sun ive got olive skin so i dont burn but always put factor on my mole.
Reply:I have alot as well but what you do have to be aware of is any change in them. I kept mine. They are part of me. I have a huge cluster of them on one of my legs which you can see if I wear a shorter skirt but I live with it
Reply:I like mine, but you probably could get it removed, because you can do everything else.
Reply:I have a few little'ns on my back n a biggun on my belly and my other half has two on her face but she is bootiful so i spose it does not bother me although i agree some can be unsightly. The problem is the Austin Powers film that brought the mole back into the limelight.

moley moley moley

Moles....?

Why and where do moles (on the skin) come from?

Moles....?
Most moles are simply the result of a harmless proliferation of the pigment cells within the deeper layer of the skin.

Some are present throughout one's life whereas some develop over time.

Moles?????

Water "softeners" remove metal ions such as Fe2+, Fe3+, Ca2+, and Mg2+ (which make water "hard") by replacing them with enough Na+ ions to maintain the same number of positive charges in the solution. If 6.5 103 L hard water is 0.015 M Ca2+ and 0.0010 M Fe3+, how many moles of Na+ are needed to replace these ions?

Moles?????
.033 Mol

(.015 mol Ca) * (2mol Na per mol Ca) + (.001 mol Fe * 3 mol Na per mol Fe)

to make the # moles equal out between Na+ and (Ca+Fe)
