a) 0.5 mole
b) 2.0 moles
c) 3.01 x 10^23 moles
d)6.02 x 10^23 moles
explain please
How many moles of carbon-12 are contained in exactly 6grams of carbon-12?
a)
1 mole is the weight in grams equal to the molecular weight of the substance. Obviously, 6g of C12 is ½ mole.........
Reply:since one mole of carbon equals 12 grams (using the periodic table), then 0.5 moles of carbon would have to equal 6 grams. nothing complicated
