You've almost got the answer. Two moles of hydrogen react with one mole of oxygen, right? So, what is the "limiting" reagent when 3.6 moles of hydrogen is present in a reactor with 2.16 moles of oxygen. Hint: 2.16 moles of oxygen react with 4.32 moles of hydrogen, right. So, which of the two is deficient - the oxygen or the hydrogen. So, find the deficient one and know that in the above reaction 2 moles of hydrogen produce 2 moles of water BUT one mole of oxygen produces 2 moles of water.

Reply:Formula of water is H2O so you need 2 moles of hydrogen to react with one of Oxygen to produce 1 mole of water.





Maximum amount of water is therefore 3.6/2 = 1.8M (you have slightly too much oxygen)
